Hello! I’m Jon, and I serve as the Lead Pastor of Vineyard Dar es Salaam.
I came to faith at the age of 22 from a non-Christian background. One of the first significant steps in following Jesus was coming to Tanzania in 2008 on a short-term mission trip, where I was involved in church planting in Mwanza and Mara. That experience marked the beginning of a long-term connection with Tanzania and a deep love for its people.
Susan and I were married in 2016, and we have three children. In response to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we made the decision as a family to relocate to Dar es Salaam in November 2024.
I am passionate about building healthy, Jesus-centred churches—communities that listen to and follow Jesus as the head of the Church. I especially enjoy seeing people grow in faith, discover their gifts, and step into the life God has for them.
Before moving to Dar es Salaam, I served in a variety of ministry roles at Grace Vineyard, including Assistant Pastor at West Campus.
